Kristina Tchernyshev

– Graduated from California Baptist University in 2017 with a degree in International studies and international business. Kristina was a competitive swimmer for 20 years- swam at college level and represented the Israeli national team. Kristina has always loved working with children and wanted to share her love and educate kids about water safety and love the sport of swimming. “Swimming is more than sport and physical activity – it builds a strong character and self-discipline”

Mandy Caplice

Mandy Caplice has had 10+ years of customer service with Trader Joe’s before stepping away to support her husband in his Trader Joe’s career and raise their two young children.  She and her family moved to Jacksonville in 2017 and they have fallen in love with the Jacksonville community.  More recently she had decided to get back into the working world and the AQUA family is the route she chose. “With a 22 month old and a 4 year old at home, I realized I wasn’t doing as much as I could when it came to water safety for them, that is why I sought out AQUA.”  With their outstanding respect for safety and knowledge when it comes to the water, she looks forward to sharing her love of customer service and community with AQUA.

Megan Batchelor

Megan Batchelor is currently a junior at Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville Florida. When she’s not in school, she enjoys swimming competitively on her year-round swim team, Mandarin Aquatic Club. Megan enjoys coaching young swimmers at Aqua Swim School in hopes that she can help educate them to be strong swimmers. She believes a good foundation not only will help them if they choose to swim for sport, but also help stress the importance of water safety.

Jonah McCarthy

An energetic young man who wants to help kids get excited about being in the pool. He is home schooled and going into 11th grade. He is also dual-enrolled at Florida State College of Jacksonville. He has been swimming competitively for the Bolles Sharks since he was 7 years old and plans to continue swimming in college. Jonah also works as a lifeguard during the summer and runs his own business. He is a hard worker and believes everyone should learn how to swim. He thinks there’s no better place to learn then here at Aqua!

Bobby Comfort

My name is Bobby Comfort and I live in Saint Johns, FL. I am a rising junior at Milligan College in Johnson City, TN where I am studying business administration with a concentration in management. I am also on the Milligan varsity cycling team and have taken part in multiple

road and mountain bike national championships. I also created a fly-fishing club at school

because of my passion for both fishing and the outdoors.

I am excited to be a part of AQUA Swim School’s internship program. Once I started working at

AQUA as an intern, I could not believe the amount I learned just in the first week. AQUA is a

very dynamic work environment where a lot can be going on at once. I look forward to

expanding my knowledge about what it takes to run a business, and also developing

relationships with the great customers we see at AQUA on a daily basis.

Gage Hulbert

Currently a sophomore at Mandarin Highschool, Gage has been a competitive athlete his entire life, playing a wide variety of different sports. At the age of 6 he began a new chapter of his life in swimming. He has gone from grabbing toys from the bottom of the pool to placing first in a state championship. He enjoys teaching kids from his previous experiences as a swimmer and making it a fun at the same time.

Isabella Cratem

Isabella currently attends Bishop Kenny High School and has lived in Jacksonville her whole life with her family. Being the oldest of her siblings, she has spent a lot of time with kids in and out of the pool and enjoys spending time with them. She believes that water safety and knowing how to swim is extremely important, especially here in Florida where there’s a pool in every other person’s backyard.  When she is not in school or with her family, she enjoys running cross country and track.

Ella Schellenberg

Ella attends The Bolles School and has grown up in Jacksonville around her seven siblings. Ella has played many sports throughout her life with her friends and family. She wants to go to college to play volleyball and study to become a teacher. She loves to be around kids and teach them to learn new things.

Stefanie

A graduate from The Bolles school has been swimming competitively since the age of 5. Stefanie is currently at the University of Connecticut where she swims at the collegiate level and is majoring in Environmental studies. Stefanie also represents her home country of Guatemala at the international level and has traveled as far as Singapore.

Maricela Reyes

Maricela Reyes graduated with a degree in criminal justice in 2018. She then moved to Florida, from New Jersey to continue her schooling. She now joins us as a passionate swim instructor.

Maricela has always loved swimming and now simply wants to share what she loves with others. Previously, she worked as a lifeguard for five years and volunteered as a swim instructor teaching young children. “I like working at AQUA because I want people to feel comfortable in the water and I get to teach them skills so that they’re not afraid,” said Maricela who dreams of being a professional mermaid.

Milena Matic

Milena Matic is an upcoming freshmen at the University of North Florida, and has just graduated from Duval Charter High School. Milena is a dedicated student who has been enrolled in her school’s AICE program since the 6th grade, and hopes to explore the college of Arts and Sciences in her future at UNF. She started swimming in middle school and has grown to love the sport, and even more so, teaching it. She enjoys being a part of AQUA’s family and appreciates their great attention to safety.

Lauren Neidigh

Lauren Neidigh is a former NCAA swimmer at the University of Arizona and the University of Florida. She’s also an alumni of The Bolles School and a Florida state champion. Lauren got her M.S. in Criminology from Florida State University and seems exceptionally confused about which team she should cheer for during the college football season. She is now a swim coach and instructor in her hometown of Jacksonville.
