Jordan Gal
AQUA Instructor

Jordan has worked for AQUA Club for a little over a year now and having the ability to teach the future generation of swimmers is one of the most rewarding feeling I get. In my free time I usually like to go play baseball and hockey with my friends and family. If It wasn’t for me learning how to swim I would I would have never found my passion for teaching if it wasn’t for the swim lessons.

Rachel Griffin
Instructor

Rachael has been attending Brandon School District and living in Ortonville her entire life. She is now a Junior at Brandon High School. She enjoys and is proud to be part of the BHS Marching Band, National Honors Society, the Brandon Varsity Swim Team, and the Brandon STEM program. She has made many great friends through these programs and likes to spend her free time hanging out with them.

Rachael began swim lessons when she was in 3rd grade and has been swimming ever since. Her favorite part of being on the swim team is practicing with her teammates, but the events she most enjoys in meets are sprinting 50 and 100 yard freestyle. She likes her job working with AQUA as a lifeguard and swim instructor because she enjoys feeling like she is making a positive impact in her community.

Rayven Sterner
Instructor

Rayven has attended Brandon Schools throughout the course of her schooling and is currently a Junior at Brandon High School. She has been a proud part of Brandon Swim Teams as well as lessons and club teams ran through the Brandon Pool for almost 7 years and has made it a point in her life to swim whenever she can. Besides swimming, she enjoys being a part of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and Brandon STEM Program.

Being part of the Brandon Varsity Swim Team has taught her the importance of teamwork, and lead her to pursue work as a swim instructor, to show others the joy of swimming and being part of team swimming. Since then, Rayven has been teaching lessons at Aqua Swim Club for the last 2 years and hopes to continue into a college swim team and later team swim teams herself.

Morgan Saunders
Instructor

Morgan has grown up in the small town of Ortonville and has attended Brandon Schools for all of her schooling career. She is currently a senior at Brandon High School. Morgan is captain of both the Brandon varsity swim team and the varsity tennis team. She is also a part of the National Honors Society which enables her to volunteer within her community. After high school she hopes to attend college and pursue a career in environmental sciences.

Morgan has been a part of the swimming world for 9 years. She began swimming through swim lessons at the Brandon High School pool. Swimming is by far her favorite sport. Her favorite events to swim are the 200IM and 100 backstroke. She loves teaching swim lessons because it reminds her of when she learned to swim. Morgan feels fortunate to work at the pool that she grew up in.

Jessie Drogemuller
Manager

Jessie has spent the majority of her life in the swimming world. As a swimmer, she spent 14 years in the competitive swimming atmosphere from age group all the way through college. She quickly realized she was meant to be a distance swimmer although her favorite events were middle distance, the 200 and 500 freestyle. During her time at Notre Dame College, she held a record in the mile and was lucky enough to be a part of a Conference winning team.

As a swimmer, Jessie did her college internship with Swimming World Magazine. This allowed her to combine her love of swimming with her love of grammar, editing, and punctuation! After college, she went back to teaching swim lessons, something she started during the summers in California when she was 15. Jessie appreciates teaching kids to love the sport that shaped her.

Ryne Drogemuller
Head Site Coach

Bio

Ryne was born and raised in sunshine. He grew up in California, then went to Arizona State University to major in Kinesiology. At 10, he was conscripted into the sport of swimming by his parents after he criticized his brother one too many times.

He eventually found a love of the sport that’s led him to coaching. He made his high school state cut in the 100 Breaststroke his junior year, and went a 1:04.54. He participated on two league champion teams in high school.

He then participated as an assistant volunteer to his HS alma mater, and began working on San Benito Aquatics with age group swimmers during his summer breaks. He has an Aussie/Collie dog named Autumn, and in his spare time he can be found either playing video games or writing stories.

Fun Fact: He self-published his first sci-fi action novel in 2017 titled Through the Ghost.
